The Bible is filled with many passages of great men of strength that win over enemies and converts alike with great deeds and words. These men faced difficulties, privations, and sometimes impossible odds that were somehow conquered with the help of God. Here are three Great People of the Bible:

St. John In Exile, as told by Disney icon Dean Jones (The Love Bug, Beethoven, That Darn Cat!), is a classic one-man-stage tour de force. St. John, the last living disciple of Jesus' twelve, is exiled and imprisoned, yet remains full of humor, strong in spirit, and obstinately spry. Through his eyes we relive the moving events in which Jesus Christ changed the course of human history. Directed by Emmy Award-winning director Dan Curtis (War and Remembrance).

From the pages of the Old Testament comes the story of Joseph and his Brethren (Geoffrey Horne), a mid-century classic film with Robert Morely (Oscar Wilde, Around the World in 80 Days). Joseph, the son of Jacob and Rachael from Canaan, is given a coat of many colors as a sign of his father's favor. Angered by his coat and his dreams of being their master, Joseph's brothers fake his death to trick their father and sell him into slavery. Yet, God's plan of great things for Joseph sees him rise to high status as overseer in Pharaoh's House, setting up one of the most unlikely family reunions of all time.

Samson, a modern retelling of the legendary Old Testament story of the strongest man that ever lived is accurately recreated from the Bible passages. Samson (Jeffrey Scallon) is granted supernatural strength that allowed him to perform heroic feats in the Israelite's battle against the Philistines. It is said that Samson killed a lion with his own hands, and defeated an army of 1,000 with the jawbone of a donkey. His human side had him seduced and delivered to his enemy by the beautiful Philistine. Delilah. God, however, does not abandon him; instead He allows him his final triumph.
