DVD 1:  The Old Post Road
- This famous road connected 17th century Manhattan with Boston. Mile after mile of untamed wilderness, far-flung towns and settlements depended on The Old Post Road for supplies and the mail they brought.

DVD 2:  The Great Wagon Road and The Wilderness Trail - The Great Wagon Road carried the hopeful settlers out of Philadelphia and into the wilds of Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The Wilderness Trail was originally the Warrior's Path and its 1,000-mile length traversed the Shenandoah Valley on into untamed Kentucky.

DVD 3:  The River Road and The Natchez Trace - The Mississippi's mighty current was The River Road that propelled flat-bottom boats to New Orleans. The Natchez Trace was the second leg of the riverboat men's journey home to Nashville. Tom tells the stories of the infamous land pirates who preyed on unwary travelers.

DVD 4:  The Mormon Trail and California's Mission Trail - In 1847, Brigham Young and 1,000 followers crossed the Missouri and set off on their great exodus across the Great Plains in search of their new Zion. Father Junipero Serra and a group of Franciscan monks established a chain of missions along the California coast, a 600-mile stretch from San Diego to Sonoma. This video takes you to many of the surviving missions.

DVD 5:  The California Trail and El Camino Real - In 1849, gold drove thousands to California. Eastern shopkeepers and Midwestern farmers headed west across the Rockies, a 40-mile desert and the towering Sierra Nevadas-many didn't make it. El Camino Real was established by Pueblo Indians but it was the Spaniards who frequently traveled the road from El Paso to Santa Fe in search of gold.

DVD 6:  Yukon Gold Rush Trail - When the cry of "Gold!" came down from the Yukon, thousands headed up north. Only Seattle's merchants were the beneficiaries of the Yukon Gold Rush. By outfitting the miners, Seattle "mined the miners." While $10 million in gold was dug out of the Yukon, $25 million went to Seattle business interests.
